What if Peter Pan was the only one in Neverland still clinging to the way things were? What if Wendy Darling grew up, but cared more about writing stories than getting married? Those are the questions that begin in The Last Boy.

Based on the stories of Peter Pan, the comic introduces the still-young Peter, who doesn’t realize that other people in Neverland have moved on from the same old behavior. Meanwhile, Wendy wants nothing more than to write adventures, instead of conforming to what society expects of a young woman.

Dan Panosian has written an intriguing premise for both characters at opposite ends of the spectrum, and it’ll be really interesting to see what happens if/when they see each other once again. The art team of Alessio Avallone, Valentina Pinto, Agness Pozza, and Rik Mack further depict the differences in their situations by creating the fairy tale magic in Neverland and grayer tones in London.
