Bidding in ComicConnect’s Event Auction #55 starts ending on Monday, August 21, 2023. “An original owner copy of Superman #1, the stunning original owner Bobby Blue Collection, a grouping of newly discovered Jerry Siegel letters, and many of the investment quality keys of every age collectors hunt for are available in this auction,” ComicConnect President and co-founder Vincent Zurzolo said.

The auction closes each night at 7 PM ET.

Session 1: (art, memorabilia, audio cassettes, video tapes, video games) ends August 21
Session 2: (foreign, pulps, Aces High - Captain America) ends August 22
Session 3: (Captain America Comics - Haunt of Fear) ends August 23
Session 4: (Haunted Thrills - Strange Planets) ends August 24
Session 5: (Strange Tales - Zoot) ends August 25

“The comics offered in the Bobby Blue Collection are rivaled only by the incredible story of a loving World War II era father buying a weekly comic for his newborn son,” Zurzolo said. “The breadth and depth of this collection is impressive, evidenced by an example from nearly every comic genre.”

Highlights include Pep Comics #22, a storied run of Captain America Comics, All Select Comics #1, Mask Comics #1, Marvel Family #1, Chamber of Chills #19, Tales of Terror Annual #1, Journey into Mystery #1 (double cover), and other collectible comics of the age.

The Jerry Siegel letters are represented by over two dozen letters written to and from Jerry Siegel, the co-creator of Superman, concerning his battle over the rights, and revenues to Superman. “The letters come almost as a time capsule telling yet another side to one of the greatest stories ever told,” Zurzolo said. “This is a unique chance at a true piece of comic history.”

More Golden Age highlights include copies of Batman #1 (first Joker and Catwoman), All Star Comics #8 (first Wonder Woman), Detective Comics #168 (Joker origin), and More Fun Comics #73 (first Aquaman and Green Arrow). The international comics auction boasts lots from every comic age.

Silver, Bronze, and Modern Age books include Amazing Fantasy #15, Amazing Spider-Man #1, Black Knight #1, Fantastic Four #48 9.8 Stan Lee Signature, Hero for Hire #1 9.8, Iron Man #55 9.8, Sgt. Fury #1 9.0, Tales of Suspense #39, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 9.8, and X-Men #1.

Proceeds from the Lake Como Charity Artist Jam are being donated to help fight childhood leukemia.
