Scoop has just learned that Pedigreecomics.com will be offering high-grade comics from the Golden State collection this weekend online. Discovered in 1997 in California the Golden State collection features high-grade comics that are mostly 9.6 and 9.8 grade and are Bronze Age Marvel titles characterized by immaculate structure, page quality and state of preservation. Not many Golden State books have appeared for sale since they were quickly gobbled up 9 years ago as they have remained intact in private collections.

This weekends offering will feature early 1970s Marvels in 9.6 and 9.8 grade including Defenders #1-10, Amazing Adventures #11-17, Marvel Team-Up #3, #5-10 and Marvel Feature #1-12. These books will appear on the Pedigree Comics website this weekend, beginning on Friday, September 15. These books have been previously offered for sale as the consignor bought all his Golden State books back in 1997 when the collection first came to market and has just decided to part with them.
