When the Joker returns for his highly anticipated sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, the Clown Prince of Crime will be joined by his number one girl. Now, fans of the Joker are getting their first look at Lady Gaga in the Harley Quinn (or Harley-like) makeup and costume.

Similar to Joaquin Phonenix’s Joker, Lady Gaga’s look is inspired by the comics, but with its own twists. The makeup is understated like Joker’s and the costume features a black and white checked top and bright red jacket. What’s also important to note about the photos is that she is surrounded by Gotham police officers, indicating that the Joker’s main squeeze will definitely cause a ruckus.

This isn’t the first photo of Lady Gaga in the Joker sequel. On Valentine’s Day, director Todd Phillips dropped a photo of Harley and Joker, their faces just inches apart.

Phillips’ Joker was released in 2019, and became the highest grossing R-rated film of all time with a worldwide total of $1.074 billion. It was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, and took home the prizes of Best Actor for Phoenix and Best Original Score.

Joker: Folie à Deux will be in theaters on October 9, 2024.
